'Romeo & Juliet'
venue
Guildhall
Dates
22nd - 27th April 1985
Director
Ian Arnot
Ian Arnot helmed our fifth production of 'Romeo & Juliet' in April 1985.
Martyn Miller and Natalia Wieczorek took the lead roles as the doomed lovers in this moving and dramatic take on the ultimate romantic tragedy. They were surrounded by an excellent cast who brought Shakespeare's immortal language to life under Ian's expert direction.
This was a splendid show with a large scale set design, lavish costumes and swashbuckling action in the fencing-style skirmishes between the Montague and Capulet families.
